London, May 2013. His Excellency Mr Anthony Bailey was presented the highest municipal award of the Albanian capital city – the ‘Gratitude of Tirana’ by His Excellency Lulzim Basha, Mayor of the City of Tirana.
The honour was awarded to Mr Bailey “in recognition of his personal merits in fostering greater inter-religious, charitable, economic and political ties between the civic authorities and peoples of the Cities of Tirana and London and for his wider contribution over many years to fostering more meaningful Albanian-British Relations”.
The honour was bestowed during HE Lulzim Basha’s official visit to London from 22 – 24 May 2013 that was organised by Mr Bailey.
Among previous recipients of this award are: Hillary Clinton, Feim Ibrahimi, Lord Mayor of London Sir David Gifford, Johanna Neumann and the Emir of Qatar.
