St. George’s, February 2015. Anthony Bailey, OBE, officially visited the Caribbean nation state of Grenada from 30 January to 1 February 2015 at the invitation of the country’s Prime Minister.

During the three day visit Her Excellency Dame Cécile La Grenade, Governor General of Grenada received Anthony Bailey at the Office of the Governor General in St. George’s.

Anthony also held discussions with Dr The Right Hon. Keith Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada, the Hon Dr Clarice Modeste-Curwen, Foreign Minister of Grenada, the Hon Alexandra Otway Noel, MP, Minister of Implementation and the former Governor General Sir Danny Williams and Lady Williams. Talks focused on the on-going needs of the country following the 2004 hurricane Ivan which destroyed large parts of the country.

Anthony attended a Mass celebrated by The Rt Rev Vincent Darius, Bishop of St George’s at the Blessed Sacrament Church, Grand Anse, St. George’s. The Bishop hosted a lunch in honour of Anthony at the conclusion of Mass. Later Anthony attended the National Ecumenical Service to mark the 41st anniversary of Independence of Grenada held in the presence of the Governor General, Prime Minister, national faith leaders and the Diplomatic Corps at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in St George’s.

Anthony Bailey visited Grenada is his official role as Deputy of the Royal Deputation of the Grand Magistry, Magistral Delegate for Inter-Religious Relations and Delegate of Great Britain & Ireland of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George. He is also the Secretary General of the Royal Order of Francis I.
