Paris, November 2012. HE Mr Anthony Bailey attended the opening of a prestigious exhibition entitled “La Maison Royale de Bourbon des Deux Siciles” (“The Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies”) at the City Hall of the eighth district of Paris, France. The event was formally opened by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Charles and Princess Camilla of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke and Duchess of Castro, and Mayor François Lebel.

The history of the Two Sicilies Royal Family has been traced through the exhibition of precious objects belonging to the Family that ruled southern Italy from 1734 to 1861. Sculptures, bronzes, paintings, medals, jewellery and fine china ornaments from different dynastic orders, military uniforms, important documents, all chosen and organised by the curator of the exhibition HE Ambassador Antonio Benedetto Spada, Grand Treasurer of the Constantinian Order and Ambassador of the Order of Malta. The event was attended by representatives of a number of royal and aristocratic families of Europe, large institutional personalities and figures from the world of French and Italian culture and business.

The exhibition received the patronage of the Minister of Culture of the French Republic, Aurélie Filippetti, and the Italian Ambassador to France, HE Giovanni Caracciolo di Vietri. The exhibition was open to the public from 14 – 30 November 2012.

Among the many prominent personalities who were present at the opening of the exhibition and later at a dinner held at the Paris home of the Duke & Duchess of Castro were: HRH Prince Antoine of Bourbon Two Sicilies, TRH Princess Beatrice and Princess Anne of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Prince and Princess Napoleon, HRH Prince Laurent of Belgium, TRH The Count and Countess of Paris, TRH Prince and Princess Jean of Luxembourg, TRH Prince and Princess Carl of Bourbon-Parma, TRH The Duke and Duchess of Vendôme, HRH Prince Faisal Bey of Tunisia, TSH Prince and Princess Wenceslas of Liechtenstein, HSH Princess Ira of Furstenberg, TSH Prince and Princess Domenico Napoleone Orsini, HRH The Duchess of Wurttemberg, Princess Nesrine Toussun, HE Mrs Rachida Dati, the Ambassador of Spain to UNESCO HE Juan de Barandica and his wife, Mrs Erika Duverger, Mr and Mrs Laurent Dassault, Engineer and Mrs Enzo Benigni.
