London, May 2014. Mr Anthony Bailey has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by The College of Teachers at the Institute of Education of the University of London at a ceremony held in Jeffery Hall at the Institute of Education on 16 May 2014.

This Fellowship was awarded to Mr Bailey for his distinguished contribution to education nationally and internationally.

Among other recipients of Honorary Fellowship this year were: Rev Janina Ainsworth, Chief Education Officer for the Church of England and General Secretary of National Society; Prof Mary Beard, OBE, Professor of Classics at University of Cambridge; Mr Jon Coles, Chief Executive of United Learning and Former Director General for Education Standards at Department for Education; Ms Toni Fazaeli, Chief Executive at Institute for Learning; and Dr Mary Stiasny, OBE, Pro-Director of Learning and International at the Institute of Education.

The College of Teachers is the UK’s professional educational institute for teachers under the patronage of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and is presided by Dr Raphael Wilkins.
