Rome, June 2014. The Grand Master of Royal Order of Francis I, HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro has decreed the promotion of the British and Irish Delegate, HE Mr Anthony Bailey, to the rank and position of Secretary General of the Royal Order of Francis I based within the Grand Magistry in Rome. Mr Bailey will direct together with the Grand Chancellor, HE Ambassador Giuseppe Balboni Acqua, KCVO, the national and international activities of the Order especially in the areas of charity, humanitarian assistance and inter-religious relations.

To mark this appointment, Mr Bailey has also been promoted in rank to Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Francis I having held the rank of Knight Commander since 2004.The promotion was granted to Mr Bailey in recognition of his seventeen-year voluntary service to the British and Irish Delegation and the Grand Magistry in Rome.

HE Mr Anthony Bailey has also been appointed Magistral Delegate for Inter-Religious Relations of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George based within the Grand Magistry in Rome.

Mr Bailey served the internationally recognised Roman Catholic Order as Vice Delegate from 2000-2003 and as Delegate from 2006-2009 and 2009-2012. His current three-year term as Delegate in Great Britain and Ireland will end in April 2015.
